The Process Recon Sprint

Find out how a process actually works, not how the org chart says it works.

A site survey map spread across a table, weighted down by a flashlight and an enamel mug, a loupe and pencil compass resting on the contours.
FIG. 01 Recon begins with what's actually on the table.

A short, high-intensity engagement to recover how a process actually runs. The official SOP describes a process that stopped being true two reorgs ago; the real one lives in Slack, spreadsheets, and one person's memory. The Sprint runs through interviews, workflow observation, artifact review, system mapping, input and output mapping, exception analysis, and a hunt for the hidden manual labor nobody put on a slide.

Deliverables

  • A process map — the real one, exceptions included
  • A role and handoff map
  • A system and data-source map
  • A pain-point analysis
  • An exception and edge-case inventory
  • An automation-readiness score
  • A first list of compounding-loop opportunities

The Sprint is the entry point on purpose: fixed fee, two to four weeks, and it produces everything a client needs to stop guessing about where agents belong.
